I bought her for my granddaughter. I will keep her in the box until my granddaughter is old enough to understand why we keep these in the box. But if she decides to play with her Barbie, its hers. She came well packaged in a sturdy box inside the shipping box. Her box is still in perfect shape. She was a great deal at $16.98. You can't get the older ones for that. I know this because I got a wild idea to buy the last 4 years of holiday Barbies and they are not cheap.
