My nephew loved this! He is curious little man and this was perfect for him. Not too messy, had a great variety of geodes that looked amazing under the National Geographic microscope we got him. Definitely an outside/patio activity since he has a baby sister we try to keep the noise down for but overall 10/10.. In his words "these are amazing". The adults were even entertained!

Ultimately, I selected the National Geographic product on faith in their reputation over the years. But the reviews also played a significant role.
