Oh, I'm just thrilled to bits about this Learning Resources Math Island game! I've been pulling my hair out trying to get little Timmy interested in math - he's just not feeling it at all. So when I saw this, I thought, "This is exactly what we needed!" And boy, was I right. From the moment we took it out of the box, Timmy was hooked. The vibrant colors and fun theme - who wouldn't want to navigate an island with volcanoes and treasure chests? We've been playing for a few weeks now, and he's absolutely loving it. His addition and subtraction skills have improved so much, and he doesn't even realize he's learning! I just adore how the game encourages him to practice different equations with those clever dice.

This is an awesome and fun game for my 5 year old son and for us parents. My son is able to practice math without it feeling like it’s “work”. He finds opportunities to play this game with us multiple times a day. The game is of great quality in terms of the pieces and in terms of the design. It’s easy to learn. I highly recommend.
My 6 year old absolutely loves this game. She’s in first grade and working on building her addition and subtraction skills and this makes it way more fun. It’s also fun for the whole family. Even our 4 year old likes it and our 6 year old can help him with the math. It’s a pretty durable and sturdy set so you don’t have to worry too much about it getting broken (as most things do with little kids). Its functionality is perfect for learning math while having fun! This is a fun game to play with kids learning or just practicing math. It's also helpful with odds and evens.
I like this game. The game pieces are of a decent quality. We have owned it for well over a year and it still looks nice. Even the box is in good shape. Not because of gentle usage.My kids enjoy playing Math Island, which is most important. It is great practice for addition and subtraction up to 20. For my kid who is barely grasping addition I take the +/- die out of the game and we just work on addition.I would say if you have a kid that absolutely dreads math worksheets, this game is an excell
My 6 year old has loved playing this game. It has been very easy to get her to practice audition and subtraction this way. I’ve though about getting harder dice to make it more challenging as she get quicker with her math.
