I needed something that could handle daily use and engage my toddler without breaking the bank. I picked up the LEGO DUPLO Town Truck & Excavator set. For under $20, it's been a solid purchase. The push-along vehicles are sturdy enough to withstand my son's enthusiastic play, and they've held up well even after being 'driven' around our hardwood floors daily for three weeks now.
I really like how the excavator's arm rotates 360 degrees. It encourages creative play and keeps him engaged longer. However, I wish there were a few more pieces included to create a larger construction site. My son often asks for more 'buildings' after he's knocked down the one that comes with the set. Overall though, it's been a great toy for developing his fine motor skills and imagination.
