Okay so I really like this product! I'm a bit of a dinosaur enthusiast myself, and I bought this kit to bond with my 8-year-old nephew over our shared love for these ancient creatures. The clay was incredibly easy to mold, and the vibrant colors made it even more fun to use. We spent hours creating our own unique dinosaur designs together – my favorite was a triceratops in shades of green!
One thing I particularly appreciated was how each dinosaur skeleton had just the right amount of detail for us to practice our shaping skills without feeling overwhelmed. Bought this for my kid. That was the official excuse. In reality, I wanted to live out my fantasy of becoming a world-renowned paleontologist-sculptor hybrid who works in clay and chaos. Bought this National Geographic clay set as a birthday gift and it was a huge hit! I love that it’s a STEM toy—educational while still being super fun and creative. Definitely recommend for a unique and engaging present!
Seems to be a good value. There are some fun things in this, but they did way too many small plastic dinosaurs and rocks to paint. The dinosaur exploration concept is fun and I just wish there were more variety! It does have a few really fun crafts and activities and I think this would be awesome for a young kid, but some days are going to be a little boring because it is fairly repetitive.
Grandchildren enjoyed these, easy to use with minimal instruction. Clay doesn’t crumble, and sets and dries quickly. Excellent value for money
