I wasn't expecting much at this price point, but the Transformers Heroes and Villains Optimus Prime and Megatron 2-Pack pleasantly surprised me. The sheer size of these figures - both towering at 7 inches - is impressive for under $30. My son, who's six, could transform them on his own with minimal fuss, thanks to their intuitive conversion designs. The G-1 inspired alt modes were a nice touch too, bringing back fond memories of my childhood Transformers.
That being said, Megatron's tank mode could use a bit more stability; it sometimes toppled over during playtime. But hey, for the price and all the fun we've had so far, I'd call this a solid buy. It's not often you find such good value in a kid's toy these days.
I got this Optimus Prime/Megatron set for my son's 6th birthday and he absolutely loves them! He had a little trouble transforming them at first, but they're not super difficult for younger kids, as there are only five or six steps. They're all plastic, so durability is a concern.
